The Pavilion at Rosendals Trädgård, developed in collaboration with the wood construction industry, uses modern wood technology to create its distinctive diagonally positioned pillars. Its design balances simplicity and elegance, featuring a classical form and pronounced gable motif that blends seamlessly with the historic character of Rosendal’s Castle Park. Originally conceived for the 2018 Venice Architecture Biennale as a greenhouse-inspired meeting space and later used for public planning dialogues in Sundbyberg, the Pavilion now enriches the park as a discreet yet striking addition.
Located in the lower part of the Fruit Orchard, its placement—chosen in consultation with the Royal Djurgården Administration and Nivå Landscape Architects—provides a serene retreat, distanced from daily operations yet close enough for staff support. Since its inauguration, the Pavilion has revitalized Enköping Park, hosting diverse events from educational workshops to community gatherings, and has become a dynamic and valuable space.
