We often work closely with the building industry, and in collaboration with Nock Massiva Trähus, we have developed a series of sustainable Case Study Apartment Houses. Nock produces climate-smart apartment buildings using CLT (cross-laminated timber) and a modular volumetric building technology.
The flexible building system and the wide range of possibilities for alternative floor plans allow for various house types. The selection of house type is based on the site's and zoning’s conditions. By designing the base floor and roof in relation to the specific context, buildings are created that are well-integrated and anchored in their unique locations and environments.
To demonstrate the flexibility and potential of this modular building system, we have created a series of examples showcasing attractive housing designs and house types. These examples are intended to highlight the system's capacity and serve as a starting point for the development of unique homes.
